FRXV is a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle built by Firebolt Racing, the official student motorsport team of BIT Mesra, for BAJA SAE 2025. The project demanded immense dedication, patience, and problem-solving as the team worked tirelessly from the drawing board to the test track. Every setback during design, manufacturing, and assembly became a valuable lesson that pushed the team to strive harder and think smarter. What emerged from months of persistence was not just a capable ATV, but a true representation of determination and teamwork. BIT Mesra had the distinct honour of welcoming the President of India, a momentous occasion that highlighted the institute’s commitment to technical excellence and innovation. During the visit, the President acknowledged the vital role played by BIT Mesra in shaping the future of technical education, fostering creativity, and encouraging groundbreaking research. This prestigious recognition served as a source of immense pride for the institution, motivating students and faculty alike to push the boundaries of knowledge and skill. At the Defence Expo 2022, Firebolt Racing showcased its indigenously developed All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) before India’s Prime Minister, senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, and representatives of DRDO and BrahMos. Built with rugged performance and adaptability in mind, the ATV demonstrated its potential for deployment in challenging terrains and defence mobility operations. The recognition it received highlighted the team’s engineering excellence and the role of student-led projects in advancing national defence capabilities. Beyond the showcase, Firebolt Racing engaged in meaningful interactions with defence experts, industry leaders, and technology partners, creating opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and future innovation.
